Fuel System

From the 1941–1948 Chrysler Shop Manual

Covers the fuel pump and its overhaul, the single-throat carburetor of the C-28, C-34, C-38, C-39 and C-40, and the dual carburetor of the eight-cylinder cars. It explains float level setting with gauge C-449, cleaning and inspecting carburetor parts, and the mechanical and magnetic dash-pots and kick down switch used with the Vacamatic and hydraulic transmissions. Further topics are automatic choke adjustment, manifold heat control, carburetor and tank fuel filters, and fuel gauge operation and calibration.
