Frame, Springs and Shock Absorbers

From the 1941–1948 Chrysler Shop Manual

Gives frame alignment dimensions and diagonal checks for every series, including 7-passenger models, plus instructions for welding replacement body hangers. The springs part covers front spring height, rear spring removal, metal spring covers, the sway eliminator, the rear axle transverse strut and the hydraulic transverse sway absorber. Shock absorber pages cover testing and overhaul of the hydraulic units, and the adjustable Aero-Hydraulic type used on the Crown Imperial with its firm and soft ride settings.
