From the 1941–1948 Chrysler Shop Manual
Opens with notes on breaking in new engines and seasonal preparation, then covers the independent front suspension. Steps cover front hub and wheel bearing adjustment, tie rods, steering knuckles and king pin bushings (tool C-328), and the upper and lower control arms with their self-threading pivot bushings (tools C-608 and C-594). There are threaded and riveted lower shock absorber studs. Front wheel alignment with the DD-428 gauge and DD-435 turntables covers king pin inclination, caster, camber, toe-in and toe-out on turns.
