After the title page and the Pontiac Service Craftsman program and Service Integrity Code, it gives the model identification table (Star Chief Series 28, Chieftain 870 and 860 Series 27), general specifications such as length, wheelbase (124 and 122 inches), tread and turning circle, a speed-to-engine-rpm table for each axle ratio and tire size, and notes on engine detonation, octane and the 5° B.T.C. spark setting.
