Begins with a chart of which clutches and bands apply in each range and gear, then explains the hydraulic control system: the variable displacement pump, pressure regulator, line boost, cooler control valve, T.V. (throttle valve) pressure, G-1 and G-2 governor pressure, the front clutch accumulator and compensator, and the overrun band servo. Oil circuit diagrams then walk through neutral, first, second, third, drive right, Lo and reverse, and the part throttle and detent downshifts. A complete oil circuit diagram is on page 36.
