Chassis Suspension
From the 1959 Cadillac Shop Manual
Front and rear suspension service for 1959 Cadillacs. The front end uses independent arms with spherical joints and caster-camber shims; the rear is a four-link coil spring design, with semi-elliptical springs on the 68 series. Air Suspension, standard on the 64 series, replaces the coil springs, and the section gives its preliminary servicing instructions, leak tests and air spring removal.
