The 316.6 cu. in. Strato-Streak V-8, with 8.9:1 and optional 7.9:1 compression ratios, forged and cast crankshafts, high and low lift camshafts and hydraulic valve lifters. Minor repairs cover manifolds, cylinder heads, rocker arm studs, lifters, harmonic balancer, timing chain cover, timing chain, camshaft, oil pan, rear main seal and bearings; the overhaul part covers engine removal, disassembly, valve work, lifter service, piston and connecting rod service, camshaft bearings, assembly and specifications.
