7014800 Fuel Injection Service Procedures

From the 1956–1960 Chevrolet Corvette Chassis Service Operations: Engines and RPO Equipment

Maintenance and repair of the 7014800 fuel injection unit. It starts with air cleaner and fuel filter service, idle speed and mixture, cold enrichment rod and coil settings, and fast idle speed. Troubleshooting follows, with connection and diaphragm leak checks and diagnosis of won't start, starts and dies, hesitation, surge, rough idle and poor fuel economy. Major service covers removal from the engine, the fuel flow check, removal of lines, air meter and fuel meter, disassembly, and cleaning with the nozzle code chart. Assembly with float settings, installation of the unit and the pump drive cable complete the section.
