Chevrolet's Service and Mechanical Department wrote this booklet for mechanics servicing 1956–1960 Corvettes. It is not a complete shop manual: it refers to the Chevrolet Passenger Car Shop Manuals (the 1954 manual for front suspension and steering, the 1957–60 manuals for engine, axle and three-speed work) and to the Owner's Manual for specifications. The book has two sections. The first is a step-by-step tune-up program for the Corvette V-8 engines. The second covers the Regular Production Options: heavy-duty brakes and suspension, the close-ratio and 4-speed transmissions, the Positraction rear axle and fuel injection.
