Electrical
From the 1938 Chevrolet Passenger Car and Truck Service Information
The starting motor with its over-running clutch and shift lever, and the starter pedal throttle lug that replaces the starterator. Most of the section covers the high-capacity third-brush generator with vibrating voltage regulator: how the regulator works, locating charging troubles, testing generator output, setting regulator voltage, air gap, point opening and bumper gap, and checking the charging circuit for high resistance. It closes with the new headlamp mounting and reflector aiming.
