This 1951 supplement from the Cadillac Motor Car Division is meant to be used with the 1950 Cadillac Shop Manual. It covers the 1951 Series 61, 62, 60 Special and 75 cars and the Series 86 commercial chassis, all with the 331 cubic inch V-8, and describes only the service operations that changed from 1950. It follows Cadillac's section order, from general information and lubrication through body, chassis, engine and Hydra-Matic Drive, the longest section, which covers the new cone-type reverse unit. Chassis electrical and accessories come next, then specifications, torque tightnesses and a Kent-Moore special tool list. Where nothing changed, a section is one page referring back to the 1950 manual.
