Buick's Chassis and Body Illustration and General Information Catalog for models 1940 to 1972, a complete reprint of January 1972 with pages revised to May 1972. It holds exploded drawings, not price lists: each part carries the group number used to find it in the separate Master Parts Catalogs. Most drawings cover 1959–1972 Special, Skylark, LeSabre, Wildcat, Electra 225 and Riviera models. The book is in two halves, each with its own front matter: chassis groups 0–9, then body groups 10–15, following Buick's standard group numbering.

Chassis General Information and Model Charts

The front matter for the chassis book: an introduction, instructions for finding parts by alphabetical index, group index, illustration or part number, the list of GM Parts Division warehouses, the main group sequence and the chassis illustration index with page references. It goes on to abbreviations, the Fisher body number plate and vehicle identification plate, producing plant codes, model charts with wheelbase, bore and stroke and starting serial numbers by year, and model identification data for 1964 and later.
