Shop manual for 1969 Chevrolet Series 70 and 80 heavy-duty trucks, conventional and tilt cab, including the HV-70, JV-70, TV-70, HM-80, JM-80 and TM-80 models listed in its model data chart. Engines covered are the 401M and 478M V6 gasoline engines and the 6V-53 diesel. The book has two parts: a Service section for maintenance, adjustments and unit replacement on the vehicle, numbered 0 to 13, and an Overhaul section for bench rebuilding of rear axles, power brakes, engines, engine electrical units, transmissions, clutches and steering. Specifications close each section, and a summary of special tools follows the last overhaul section. Driving instructions are in the separate Owner's and Driver's manual.
