Engine Electrical

From the 1975 Chevrolet Light Truck Service Overhaul Supplement

Engine electrical changes for 1975, mainly the High Energy Ignition (HEI) system. The 10-SI generator gains a 40-ohm resistor in the warning indicator circuit and the starter solenoid loses its R terminal; the rest of the section covers the HEI coil, module and distributor, removal, disassembly and installation, and step-by-step diagnosis with test light, ohmmeter and voltmeter.
