Air Conditioning Compressor
From the 1968 Chevrolet Series 10–60 Truck Chassis Overhaul Manual
Bench overhaul of the six-cylinder axial air-conditioning compressor. Minor repair procedures deal with the shaft seal and seat and the clutch parts at the front of the unit; major repair procedures take the compressor apart through the rear head, covering the pressure relief valve, rear head, oil pump and valve assemblies and the main internal mechanism, followed by leak testing the rebuilt compressor and a page of special tools.
