Differential carrier overhaul for every 1971 rear axle: Chevelle, Monte Carlo, 116-inch wheelbase station wagons, Nova and Series 10 trucks; Chevrolet and Camaro; Corvette; the Series 20 5500 lb Dana differential; Positraction differentials; and the Series 20–30 truck 5200, 7200 and 11,000 lb differentials. Procedures include pinion and bearing replacement, pinion depth with a dial indicator, differential bearing preload and shims, ring gear adjustment and reading gear tooth contact patterns.
