From the 1946 Chrysler Owners Manual

Instruments and controls with illustrated panel layouts, then starting the engine, emergency starting by towing or pushing, and the column-shift standard transmission. Most space goes to the hydraulically operated transmission: power and driving ranges, normal driving, when to use power range, descending hills, kickdown for a quick burst of speed and reverse. It ends with driving and economy tips, cowl ventilator and vent wings, front seat adjustment, door locks, the windshield wiper and the electric convertible coupe top.
