This is Carter Carburetor Corporation Form 3319A, "Service Procedure: W-1 Climatic Control Carbureter," first printed in September 1937 and reprinted in March 1947. It sets out Carter's circuit method for servicing the W-1 single-barrel carburetor with the automatic Climatic Control choke, with a note covering 1934-35 units whose air horn must come off before the bowl cover.
Each of the 52 numbered steps pairs a photograph with short instructions. Steps 1-17 take the carburetor apart: throttle connector rod, bowl cover, nozzle, anti-percolator, pump jet, metering rod jet, idle adjusting screw, check valves, low speed jet and throttle shaft. The parts are then grouped by circuit (float, idle, pump, high speed and choke) and inspected for wear. Reassembly covers float level, centering the throttle and choke valves, pump plunger travel set by bending the connector rod, metering rod gauge T109-76, the anti-percolator setting and the thermostatic coil housing index. Owners, restorers and carburetor rebuilders use it as a bench guide.
