1956 Cadillac Shop Manual

Cadillac's 1956 Shop Manual (Part No. 1098636) covers the Series 62, 60 Special and 75 passenger cars and the Series 86 commercial chassis, all with the 365 cu. in. overhead valve V-8. It is organized in numbered sections following the factory contents page, from general information through frame, suspension, power steering, rear axle, engine, fuel and exhaust, cooling, Hydra-Matic, chassis electrical, body, sheet metal and accessories, with an alphabetical index at the back. Each section gives a description, numbered service notes, diagnosis charts, specifications, torque tables and special tools. The contents and index list Section 2 Lubrication and Section 7 Brakes, but those pages are missing from this scan. It refers servicemen to the monthly Cadillac Serviceman bulletin for later information.
