Description

This manual includes procedures involved in disassembly and assembly of major components of 1970 Chevrolet, Chevelle, Monte Carlo, Nova, Series 10-60 Trucks, and the 1969 Corvette. Information on maintenance and adjustments, minor service operations, and removal and installation for these components is contained in either the 1970 Passenger Car or Truck Chassis Service Manual or, for Corvette, in the 1969 Passenger Car Service Manual.

Any reference to Corvette in this publication will pertain to the 1969 model. The Section Index on this page enables the user to quickly locate any desired section. At the beginning of each section containing more than one major subject is a Table of Contents, which gives the page number on which each major subject begins. An index is placed a t the beginning of each major subject within the section.

Summaries of Special Tools, when required, are found at the end of major sections, while Specifications covering vehicle components are presented a t the rear of the manual. This manual should be kept in a handy place for ready reference. If properly used, it will enable the technician to better service the owners of Chevrolet built vehicles.
