On-vehicle service for the small-block V8 in its two displacements, 5.0L (305 cu. in.) and 5.7L (350 cu. in.): 90-degree overhead-valve engines with cast-iron block and heads, five main bearings with thrust at the rear and a chain-driven camshaft.
