Bench overhaul of the Turbo Hydra-Matic 350, with a sectioned view of the unit. Disassembly in holding fixture J-8763-01 (modified) and base J-3289-14 removes the vacuum modulator, extension housing, governor, oil pan and strainer, valve body and linkage, oil pump and internal components. Unit overhaul covers the valve body, oil pump, direct and forward clutches, sun gear and drive shell, low and reverse clutch and governor, including governor gear replacement. Bushing replacement covers the extension, output shaft, case, stator shaft, input ring gear, sun gear, reaction carrier and direct clutch bushings, then reassembly with pump-to-direct-clutch thrust washer selection.
