Rear Suspension

Rear axle, springs and differential service. It lists axle ratios for Hydra-Matic and Synchro-Mesh cars, then covers axle shafts and wheel bearing and seal assemblies, rear springs, shock absorbers and the propeller shaft. Differential overhaul includes ring gear and pinion removal, gear tooth nomenclature, tooth contact patterns and bearing failure diagnosis.
