From the 1954 Cadillac Shop Manual
Fuel system and exhaust service. The Rochester 4GC and Carter WCFB four-barrel carburetors were used interchangeably in 1954, and both get circuit descriptions, adjustments (float level and drop, accelerator pump, choke, unloader, secondary throttle), idle speed and fast idle settings, the idle speed-up control used with air conditioning, and complete disassembly, cleaning and assembly. Fuel pump tests and overhaul, exhaust pipe, muffler and resonator replacement, the heat control valve and the gasoline tank follow.
