This is a 51-page set of drawings from a chapter numbered Section 4M (page headers such as 4M-2, 4M-16 and 4M-25), covering the Rochester Quadrajet four-barrel carburetor in its 1973 form. The book has no title page, publisher credit or publication number, so it does not say which vehicles it was written for. A separate 1973 Quadrajet manual in this library, with more pages, is the better source for written procedures.

The pages are mostly labeled figures. They show the carburetor from several angles, the float bowl with its needle, seat, pull clip and fuel inlet filter, the single reservoir bowl layout, and the idle system with the idle tube, idle air bleed, idle limiter caps, idle compensator valves and timed canister purge ports. Other drawings show the main metering circuit with primary metering rods and the air valve, the accelerator pump, the power piston, and the choke with its vacuum break, fast idle cam and thermostatic coil. Later pages show parts laid out for disassembly and reassembly. Restorers and carburetor rebuilders can use them to identify parts and check how the circuits fit together.

This 51-page copy is free to read online. Use the page box and thumbnails to move between figures.
