4.3 Liter V6 Engine

Unit repair (bench overhaul) of the GM 4.3L, a 90-degree overhead-valve V6 with cast-iron block and heads, four main bearings with thrust at the rear and a chain-driven camshaft on four bearings. Disassembly covers the EGR valve, manifolds, rocker covers, valve train, heads, damper, oil pan and pump, front cover, camshaft, pistons, flywheel, rear oil seal and retainer, crankshaft and main bearing removal without removing the crankshaft. Cleaning, inspection and repair covers the block, pistons, camshaft and bearings, timing chain, pump, lifters and heads, then full assembly, valve adjustment and engine set-up and testing.
