Hood, Grille and Front Fenders
From the 1958 Ford Shop Manual
The hood lock is released by a Bowden wire from the passenger compartment, and a safety catch at the left side of the hood stops it from opening more than a few inches. The part covers the hood, grille, front fender removal and adjustment, and the radiator front support in leaf-spring and coil-spring types (model 51 uses the coil type).
