Booklet S was issued by the Marvel Carbureter Co. of Flint, Michigan, for the Model S Marvel carbureter and heat control used as standard equipment on 1923–1924 Nash Series 691 Sixes. It notes that the Model S is interchangeable with the Model K used on early 691 cars of 1922 and 1923, and that 1919–1922 Series 681 Nash Sixes with the Model E carbureter can be upgraded with it.

The text explains the high-speed jet and fuel metering valve, choke starting procedure, and the exhaust heat system: main exhaust damper valve, exhaust-heat valve, warm air stove and connecting rod, with Heat Setting No. 1 and No. 2 for warm and cold climates. It describes setting the gasoline adjustment needle and air screw for idle, and the signs of rich and lean mixtures. Parts price lists give part numbers and prices for the Model S carbureter and for the damper body and stove assembly, followed by a list of Marvel distributors. Owners and restorers of 1920s Nash Sixes will find it useful.
