This is the Carter Carburetor service procedure for the WGD Dual Climatic Control carburetor (dual circuit), Form 3552, dated October 1950. It was published by Carter Carburetor, a division of ACF Industries Incorporated, St. Louis, Missouri. The sheet does not name a specific vehicle make or model year.
The procedure is a numbered, step-by-step sequence of 46 steps with drawings. It starts with removing the dust cover, bowl cover, body flange and throttle parts, then groups the parts by circuit: gasoline level, idle, high speed, pump and choke. Reassembly covers the throttle valves and centering washer, idle port plugs and low speed jets, pump check valves, float and needle seat, metering rods, vacumeter piston, choke piston and valve, fast idle and unloader adjustments, thermostatic coil housing, and the starter switch where used. Special tools T109-122U, T109-41 and T109-187 are named. Specifications are issued separately for each carburetor number. Mechanics and restorers rebuilding a WGD will find it useful.
