The Technicians Guild News was the monthly newsletter of a General Motors dealer technician training program, issued by the Mechanical Training Department of General Motors Products of Canada Ltd. in Oshawa. This Pontiac-Buick edition holds the twelve 1965 issues and the January 1966 issue. Each issue has a mechanics exam and a body men exam on 1965 Pontiac, Acadian, Beaumont and Buick cars, based on the Product Service Bulletins and the shop manuals, plus a technical article and news about how the Guild ran. Answers to earlier exams appear in later issues.

Pages 1–6 (6 pages)

January 1965 issue

Opens the 1965 program, the eleventh year of the Guild, and introduces the IBM answer card that replaces the answer page in the News. It explains membership rules, the three-missed-exams deletion rule, binders and the postmark deadline for exam No. 1. The No. 1 exams for body men and mechanics follow, with questions on windshield glass installation, convertible tops, battery hydrometer tests, cylinder head gaskets and hydraulic lifter valve adjustment.
