This is the 1958 Pontiac Fuel Injection Shop Manual, publication S-5804FI, issued in February 1958 by Pontiac Motor Division of General Motors. It covers the continuous-flow fuel injection system used on the 1958 Pontiac V-8, which sprays fuel through eight calibrated nozzles just outside the intake ports, and notes the changes from the 1957 unit, including an aluminum manifold and a simplified cold enrichment system.

The manual explains the air meter, fuel meter and manifold, the gear pump, spill plunger and control diaphragm, idle signal, power enrichment, cranking signal valve and three-stage cold enrichment. Service sections give engine starting instructions, idle, fast idle, throttle linkage and throttle return check adjustments, nozzle sizes and replacement, micro switch and fuse checks, removal and disassembly of the air and fuel meters, cleaning, assembly, installation and trouble diagnosis. Line drawings and gauge pin J-2544 are shown. It is useful to restorers and mechanics working on Pontiac fuel injection.
