Chevrolet's factory Assembly Instruction Manual (part 3891775) for the 1967 Camaro, the "F" car 12000 series. These are the drawing sheets used on the assembly line: each shows how parts go together, with part numbers, torques, applied materials and revision records. The book follows the Uniform Parts Classification (UPC) groups, from general information (UPC 0) through body, frame, suspension, brakes, engine, transmission, fuel and exhaust, steering, wheels, sheet metal, electrical and bumpers (UPC 14). An alphabetical option index then leads into the regular production option (RPO) sheets, arranged by the same groups and ending with the Rally Sport and Z28 special equipment.
Section UPC 0 · Pages 1–23 (23 pages)
General Information
How to use the manual and the rules that apply to every sheet. It explains the UPC arrangement, the quick reference index and the drawing symbols for torque, revisions and applied materials, then gives general instructions for castellated nuts and cotter pins, clips, emblems and hose clamps, and staple wire-draw rules. Later sheets place labels and stickers, the vehicle identification plate and the Protect-O-Plate, and list the miscellaneous shipping list, shipping protection, lubrication points and the cements and sealers used in assembly.
