Fisher Body Service News Vol. 13 No. 2, also numbered Chevrolet No. 1 for 1954, was issued by the Fisher Body Service Division of General Motors on December 1, 1953, ahead of the new models. It covers 1954 Chevrolet bodies, chiefly the 10 Series styles 1069WD, 1011WD, 1037D and the 1067DTX convertible.

The issue introduces the electric horizontal front seat adjuster, a jack-screw regulator offered on all styles except the 1200 Series, with removal and installation of the seat side panel switch, regulator, seat assembly, equalizing rod and seat adjusters. It then covers the redesigned door trim pad with tab-mounted arm rest, the two-button master and one-button window switches, door and hinge removal on power-window doors, front door glass, and the electric window regulator with its 6-volt reversible motor, including the caution to lock the counterbalance spring sector before removing the motor. A light-tester troubleshooting procedure lists typical failure conditions, and the issue closes with a color-coded control circuit diagram and wiring diagrams for closed bodies and the convertible. Body shops and restorers of 1954 Chevrolets with power seats and windows will find it useful.
