Chevrolet's factory Assembly Instruction Manual (part 3918855) for the 1968 Camaro 12000 series. It is the set of drawing sheets used on the assembly line, each showing how parts fit together with part numbers, torques, applied materials and a revision record. The sheets follow the Uniform Parts Classification (UPC) groups: general information (UPC 0), then body, frame, front and rear suspension, brakes, engine, transmission, fuel and exhaust, steering, wheels and tires, sheet metal, electrical and bumpers. An alphabetical option index introduces the regular production option (RPO) sheets, arranged by the same groups and ending with the Rally Sport, Z28 and deluxe interior equipment.

Section UPC 0 · Pages 1–34 (34 pages)

General Information

The introduction, quick reference index and the general rules behind every sheet: drawing symbols, general and stapling instructions, and cowl and dash panel hole piercing. New for 1968 are spring charts and trim height charts for RPO variables and for the six, 307–350, 327 and 396 V8 engines. The group closes with labels and stickers, the vehicle identification plate, the Protect-O-Plate, the miscellaneous shipping list, shipping protection, lubrication, cements and sealers, and fill items.
